About the Role: CPSO team comprises senior Banking and Credit Risk SMEs along with specialized staff with a broad mandate spanning all of credit monitoring, portfolio management, collateral management, transaction management, credit risk middle office, quality assurance, issues management and regulatory issue remediation. The team’s objective is to ensure exceptional outcomes for Citi’s clients while sustaining industry leading safety and soundness as regards credit risk management by the first line of defence.Job Title: Product Strategy & Plan Group ManagerLocation: Mumbai, Maharashtra, IndiaJob Type: Full-Time, PermanentKey Responsibilities: Accountability for effective Issue Resolution & Risk Mitigation by providing design and testing support to resolve MRAs/CAPs (Corrective Action Plans) and SIIs (Self-Identified Issues) across Institutional Credit Management (ICM)Foster a consultative / advisory approach that challenges legacy policies, processes and promotes efficiencyIdentification of governance mechanisms / controls to prevent recurrence of issuesPartnership and continuous engagement with applicable regional and industry stakeholders in ICM, Corporate Bank, Commercial Bank, Wealth and Risk for effective Issue resolution and Risk Mitigation Identification of opportunities to reduce anomalies and establish guidelines / best practices to drive operational consistency across Business Units. Improve client experience by simplifying the implied support burdens currently borne by clients and coverage staff.Ensure on-time adoption and continued improvement of the Credit Risk Process Digitalization platforms in partnership with ICM Product Development, Technology, and end users across all LoBs.Identify scope to leverage new age tools (AI/ML) to optimize processes across the ICM organizationEnsure timely completion of projects within the CPSO book of work Place additional focus on talent management by increasing completion rates of individual development plans and adoption of consistent succession planning processes across ICMAttract, develop and retain top quality staff including as regards active engagement with regional recruiting efforts to ensure a robust pipeline of talentActively participate in Learning, Development and Training opportunities including instructor led coursesImprove VoE Engagement, Belonging (DEI), and Leadership scoresTravel (less than 10%)Knowledge/Experience:Demonstrate financial services experience, including 12-15 years in Banking or FI IndustryDeep knowledge of Wholesale Credit Processes and Policies spanning the Credit Risk Value ChainCredit Officer (CO) or demonstrating the skills aligned with that designationImpeccable and thorough knowledge of Credit risk systemsAbility to synthetize complex information into clear, compelling presentations and well-structured analytical workbooks.Outstanding awareness and adherence to the control environmentSkills/Competencies:Strategic orientation to ensure the team continues to be positioned as a thoughtful and proactive partner in providing effective resolutions and best practices for Risk Mitigation across Business units.Recognized as a skillful manager with a track record of building high performing teams.Proven culture carrier.
