About the Role: Job Requirements Role Title: CMM Programmer Location: India Reporting to: Project Manager PURPOSE OF THE ROLE To create CMM offline programs using various software’s, online program prove out for various parts of aero engine and to provide measurement solutions that could reduce the inspection time. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES Create/update the Offline Programs in various software’s like MCOSMOS, PCDMIS, CALYPSO, POLYWORKS, MODUS etc., for complex aero engine components Identify the datuming, fixturing and clamping locations which affects the measurement capability To identify the features that can be measured in CMM & Buyoff with manufacturing engineer Online prove out, repeatability and correlation study in line with the existing measurement method Trouble shooting the CMM machine interruptions during the prove out of parts Independent validation of production programs as per customer standard Identify the measurement Limitation features and document it Program buy off with customer and release for production Initiate and coordinate writing of detailed statements of work (SOW) accurately defining the activities to be performed by suppliers PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES Good Communication & Interpersonal skills Customer Focus Organizational Agility Problem solving ability Proactive EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS Graduate in Mechanical Engineering/Diploma or equivalent certification Minimum hands on experience in manufacturing engineering 3-8 years at least 2 years’ experience in offline programming (MCOSMOS or CALYPSO or PCDMIS) Should have background on Quality Management Systems IT SYSTEMS & SOTWARE SKILLS MS Office tools: MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project. Analysis tools: Minitab, Measurlink & Polyworks CAD tools: UG/NX (strong knowledge) Product Lifecycle Management: Siemens Teamcenter / ptc Windchill / Dassualt Innovia CMM Software: MCOSMOS or CALYPSO or PCDMIS ADDITIONAL NON-MANDATORY SKILLS Good understanding of Aerospace Manufacturing Environment Good understanding of Gas Turbine Engine components Hands on experience in Process planning for precision machined components – Aero components preferred Hands on experience in Tool design (Jigs and Fixtures) Awareness in Nx Manufacturing Awareness of CNC / CAM programming Experience in VBA coding DESIRED PROFILE Willing to travel to the Customer site & Service providers as required Proactive approach to work in a fast-paced environment Self-Motivated Work Experience COMPETENCIES & SKILLS Good knowledge on various manufacturing processes Fully conversant reading engineering & manufacturing drawings Should have hands on experience in metrology (Measurement by First Principles) Sound knowledge interpreting the GD&T (standards ASME Y 14.5, JES 161) Sound knowledge in measurements system analysis (MSA) Hands on experience in using all types of Measuring & Testing equipment, both contact - non-contact, analogue & digital Able to support root cause analysis and implementation of problem-solving techniques Working knowledge on concessions, containment procedures and traceability techniques Awareness of aerospace quality requirements (AS9100, various ISO)
